SWAV'S STORY

Swav was created from the word Suave. Swav to me is being COOL/RADICAL. It's parallel in meaning with Yin/Yang. The life we live is determined by the choices we make. The more balanced we are, choosing wisely is second nature to us. Swav was created from my personality, COOL yet RADICAL. An individual with Confidence and Charisma. My brand represents BALANCE, opposites do attract. Elegant and Hood, our pieces are very minimalistic for everyday wear. Whether you're having an Upscale night or chilling in the Hood, Swav can add that last touch to your outfit. 

Swav was birthed in February 2021. Owner Shay, has a love for simplicity and fashion. I was born in Barbados and always had an eye for style. I was always Fly. My first love in fashion was Sneakers. I’d save all my lunch money in high school just to cop the Flyest kicks. Jordans and Nike Dunks were a big part of my Steez. I didn’t know much about colours, patterns, and fabrics. I just knew if my hat, shirt and shoes matched that was fire LOL. In 2011, after migrating to Canada. I was able to expand and learn all about fashion. I learned how to mix colours, patterns and fabrics. Within learning those things, I found my personal style. Toronto became my new City and my journey began.
